Catalina and Family

One of the really exciting parts of this job is when I get an email from a new client and it is an old friend.  Faebook has made it easy to keep in touch with an overview of people's lives but it doesn't compare to when friends from high school and college contact you to capture and be a part of a special moment in their life.  I was so excited when I received Anna's email that she was going to be in town visiting her family and wanted some pictures done for the holidays.  After being friends since high school I hadn't really seen her since college and had never met her husband and her precious daughter Catalina.  I was so thrilled and honored to take family pictures for them.  Catalina is close to being 6 months old and is just an absolute doll. I had a blast taking pictures of her very serious attitude and demeanor- she is such a pretty girl, daddy is going to have to watch out!  She had me laughing the whole time and it was great getting a little time to catch up.

Added a new vendor!

Much to be Thankful For....

Thank you!  Thank you to my clients, my friends, and my family, especially to my husband who has been amazing support to me.  I am so thankful that I am able to do something I truly love.  

We have been hosting Thanksgiving for both sides of the family for the past several years and this year with Reed's addition and everything we have had going on we just didn't quite have it in us.  So this year we spent it down south with my husband's family and had such a great dinner.  The kids had such a great time as did we! It was very enjoyable and even relaxing.  I hope that everyone had a wonderful day and was able to spend it with family, friends, and loved ones.  As usual, here are some pictures from our day.  Enjoy!

Forthcoming News!

I can't believe that I have let the time slip by as I have.  I have been meaning to post but things have just been hectic- but that is not a bad thing :)  I am working on a couple new things for the business and am hoping to be able to announce them soon!  I think that they will definitely be something different and that you will all enjoy.  I can't wait!

Before I sign off, thought I would post a couple pictures of the kids from some recent snaps of them.  They really are growing quite fast- I have to pinch myself constantly!

Pumpkin Patch with the Family

A couple of weekends ago we took the kids to our local pumpkin patch.  It is amazing what can happen in just a year...this time last year it was just Camdyn and she was just starting to walk and now we have two awesome kids who have just brought so much joy to us.  I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to of the kids, but I got a few to share.  Fortunately we kept Reed in his car seat as it turned out he had a reaction to the little hay he got on him thanks to his sister :)

Happy boy!!!

Welcome Baby Andrew!

Yesterday friends of ours welcomed their son, Andrew William into their family.  Their daughter, Allison, also got to become a big sister!!  We have been friends with them for about a year and a half now and have had the pleasure of being able to see our daughters grow up as they are only a couple months apart as well.  We are so excited for them to bring in a new family member and were so happy that we were able to visit them for a little bit in the hospital this evening.  I fortunately had my camera on me so I was able to take a couple pictures of Mr Andrew before Camdyn and Reed were about done with the hospital :)  Looking at Reed and Andrew, it is hard to believe that he was that size before- and it was only 3 months ago!!  It was just crazy to see the difference between the two of them with just the small amount of time between them.

I will be taking more pictures of their new addition and the whole family within a week or so.  I can't wait!  Just wanted to share a couple pictures of their new bundle that I was able to quickly snap.  More to come soon.... Enjoy!!

Lily and Malia

I was so excited when Elaine contacted me for some family pictures.  I have known her and her brother and sister for many years now (I won't age myself but it goes back to at least high school) but hadn't seen them in a while.  It was great getting to see her again and now be able to meet her own family.  I had such a great time with them, her daughters have so much energy and were so easy to photograph...I laughed a lot!  They were easy reminders of how much I love doing this job.

Park day!

This past Sunday we took the kids to the park to burn off some some of the pent up energy from the drive to and from NC.  Well I guess you could say mainly for Camdyn, as Reed doesn't really run around yet :)  The weather was PERFECT, especially for taking pictures, and of course that means I did just that!  Camdyn had a blast and as you will see, even Reed had a good time and threw out some good laughs and smiles :)  Enjoy!
