Yaya!!

We were so extremely fortunate that when we made the move from Florida to North Carolina that our nanny, Yashira (or as the kids call her Yaya) decided to move up with us.  We can't even begin to say how lucky we were to not only have her caring for our kids each day but to have her come with us and help with the transition.  We have unfortunately come to the part where she has decided to move back to Florida, and while we are so very sad to lose her (as she truly is our family) we are excited for her new adventures down south.  Before she left I had promised her I would do a shoot with her and the kids....so on what seems to be one of the coldest weekends yet, we did just that this weekend.  I can honestly say I have a new appreciation for you northern photographers.  It was a quick shoot to say the least but we are all happy with the pictures and will always remember this great time!  We love you and thank you Yashira for all you have done for our family!

Enjoy!

Falls Beauty

Even though I lived here eight years ago, fall is not something we are used to being from Florida.  It's beautiful though and the kids absolutely love it.  After having a burst of some rather cold days the past week or two, this past weekend was just beautiful!  The sun was out and the temperature was just great!  we have had some really busy weekends so when Sunday came this week we decided to stay near the house and just relax some and since it was so nice outside we went out back and played in the yard and playground.  Our daughter finally decided that she was ready for taking pictures again so I definitely took advantage of it.

I hope that everyone has had a great weekend and is enjoying the beauty of fall!

Enjoy!

Lucky 3 Farm Foodie

Something a little different for me :)  I am excited to say that for the next 6 months I am going to be participating with Lucky 3 Farm as one of their foodies.  For those of you who aren't familiar Lucky 3 Farm is a local farm that raises grass fed animals in a natural and safe environment.  We belong to their CSA (community supported agriculture) and recently they have asked for volunteers to be "Foodies" - people who can write blogs, take pictures, and share recipes, tricks, and how tos, so I signed up.  I took a tour of the farm a few weeks ago and I can honestly say that they do in fact care about their animals and what they do.  I learned more about grass fed animals and the business aspect of a CSA than I ever thought I would and it is truly interesting.  The quality of their food is extremely good - you can honestly taste the difference.

The team has started their work and the blogs we are writing are great!  We have some great recipes and information as well.  I really encourage everyone to take a look! Please feel free to visit my first blog entry as a Foodie.

If anybody has any questions please feel free to let me know.  I am happy to share our experience as well as recipes anytime :)

Enjoy!

Trick or Treat?!

I hope that everyone had a safe yet fun Halloween!  We went over to our friend's neighborhood for some trick or treating and yummy dinner.  You may remember the Elmo cutie in the pictures, Xavier, from past posts.

The weather was perfect and we all had such a great time, not to mention that the kids looked absolutely adorable- just see for yourself :)   Enjoy!

She doesn't let me get many pictures of her these days, so I get them when I can :)

What was that?
