Kursad, Claire, and Laura Photo Session

I can't even begin to say how much fun I had with these three this weekend-  I don't think I stopped laughing the entire time.  There are couples that you meet and you just know they work and make sense- Kursad and Claire are definitely that couple and I think the pictures we got from Saturday show that as well.  I also have to thank Claire's daughter Laura for making my job easy. She was willing to try anything asked and even had some great ideas for her pictures as well- I may have found my future intern down the road :)

Thank you Kursad, Claire, and Laura for letting me capture such a fun and great time in your life- I hope you had as much fun as I did.

Enjoy!

Laura ran up and climbed a tree- we had to catch that!

Love this shot of her

I love this picture of Claire- she just looks so happy!

Welcome Baby Jeremy!

Getting to take pictures of Jeremy and his family was such a special honor.  He was one of the sweetest and most cooperative babies I have ever met who also just happened to be born on Mother's Day- what a gift?! During my time with his family I was able to witness four generations together.  What a true blessing.

Thank you for welcoming me into your home to capture Jeremy's early moments as part of the H family.

Enjoy!

One of my absolute favorite pictures- I just love the contrast of 1st generation against 4th.

A very proud dad with his son

So sweet!

Perfectly content in mom's arms

Look at him!  Eyes wide open and ready for the world

4 amazing generations!

Happy Family of Three!

Pullen Park

A group of us decided to go spend a couple hours at Pullen Park.  This place used to be my favorite park back when I first lived here and I didn't have kids.  I see it now in a whole new view, even though the park has gone through some changes in itself, I think I can still rank it as a top park.  I am excited to bring the kids here (who arrive tomorrow by the way!) as I think they will enjoy it but it has definitely become a much more crowded place than it ever used to be.

So while my friends with kids did some of the rides, I decided to walk around and see all that was there and continue  to try and work on broadening my horizons with photography .  Here are some shots from my roaming around.  I hope that everyone is having a safe holiday-  Enjoy!

Mr. X

Xavier is someone you will start to see a lot of.  He is the son of two of my dear friends, Sara and Anthony (the same Anthony from my Duke Gardens post), and an absolute doll.  I can't wait for him to meet my two little ones (then get ready to see those three a lot)!  Last night I decided to bust out the camera for a few shots of him in action with one of his new favorite toys- the apple on the jumper.  Stay tuned as this is just the first of many pictures of this little guy.

Enjoy!

Settling in and getting adjusted.

I have been back in North Carolina now for about 4 weeks now.  We feel great about this move.  It has been so nice being back to a place that I really loved living in and getting to be with old friends again, however, I can say honestly that I miss my family.  I have been up here living with friends while my husband and kids are back in Florida. By far this has been the hardest thing I have ever done- but I know that it is going to be worth it.  I can at least now say that I am at the countdown point of when the kids will be here, and it is two weeks from tomorrow and I can NOT wait!  My husband will come up with them and stay for a week as we get settled into our place and then he will head back to Florida until he finds a job.  We are hopeful that he won't be too far behind as he has had some promising leads.

So one may think that with all my "free" time the past 4 weeks I should have numerous amounts of new pictures to post.  I think in most cases that would be accurate, however, not with me.  I don't think that I ever realized how much work and effort goes into trying to schedule a cross state move for a family.  No lie but that has taken such a large amount of my time in addition to adjusting in to my new job.  But that is no excuse and I plan on changing that soon.  I am getting involved with other local photographers and am excited to get the kids out to new spots and of course welcome new families and children into our photographing family.

I hope that this finds everyone well.  Stay tuned as there will be some new and exciting pictures to come soon!

Enjoy!

The K Family is Growing!

Back in September I had the privilege of doing a family shoot with Lily and Malia.  I was beyond excited when their mom, Elaine, contacted me again as they were expecting the arrival of baby #3. Such an exciting time for the family and I was so happy to be able to do their growing family pictures (Elaine looks amazing doesn't she?). It was a great shoot that was another fun filled day.  Both girls have such a personality and I can't help but take a lot of pictures of them.  They just make me smile!

Thanks again Elaine and family for letting me a part of another important part of your lives.  I can't wait to meet the new addition to the family!  Congrats to the K Family!
