Trick or Treat?!

I hope that everyone had a safe yet fun Halloween!  We went over to our friend's neighborhood for some trick or treating and yummy dinner.  You may remember the Elmo cutie in the pictures, Xavier, from past posts.  

The weather was perfect and we all had such a great time, not to mention that the kids looked absolutely adorable- just see for yourself :)   Enjoy!

Back in time!

Well it has been a lot longer than I had hoped or planned, but I think I am finally back at a point where we are 90% settled down.  My husband has now moved up and our house can be finished up with the last room to unpack.  It feels so good to have everyone here now and have the ability to enjoy all the reasons that we decided to make this move.  I did have a couple camera issues that I am so glad to say are fixed and I am back behind the lens.  Who would have guessed that an SD card could break inside the camera!? Well it does, fortunately there is a great camera place in Raleigh (Southeastern Camera) that was able to quickly fix that for me.  They are great there!  So I am back in business.

 We met up with some friends this weekend at a farm that was doing a Pumpkin Patch and full of activities for the kids and families. The weather was perfect and we had a great time, though the kids got extremely tired at the end of the day.  I should have taken out the camera sooner in the day, but I think I was still able to get some good shots that captured the moments.  

I am looking forward to Halloween and getting the kids dressed up.  I will of course have some pictures from the evening :)

Happy First Day of Fall

Another truly gorgeous and magnificent day for the first day of fall, though it started off full of rain and clouds.  The temperature was perfect - it is really one of my favorite times of the year, especially here in North Carolina.  We took advantage of it with the kids wanting to go and play on the playset in the backyard- they love having it and the yard to run all over and let me tell you they do!  I didn't take too many pictures of them out today but took most of the time to run around with them and be a kid :)

Welcome Home!

Words do no justice for my feelings of having my family now in NC.  It is truly beyond wonderful!  We are about 90% settled into our place and were able to have our first real time out in the back yard to play; might I add that today was also a beautiful weather day.  Just perfect.  The kids had a blast on the playground and running all over the backyard and fortunately I was able to capture some great shots today.  What a great day- Enjoy!

Pullen Park

A group of us decided to go spend a couple hours at Pullen Park.  This place used to be my favorite park back when I first lived here and I didn't have kids.  I see it now in a whole new view, even though the park has gone through some changes in itself, I think I can still rank it as a top park.  I am excited to bring the kids here (who arrive tomorrow by the way!) as I think they will enjoy it but it has definitely become a much more crowded place than it ever used to be.

So while my friends with kids did some of the rides, I decided to walk around and see all that was there and continue  to try and work on broadening my horizons with photography .  Here are some shots from my roaming around.  I hope that everyone is having a safe holiday-  Enjoy!
