Good-Bye Florida, Hello North Carolina!

It has officially happened!  After leaving the Raleigh area 8 years ago this September to go back home to Florida, my husband and I have decided to move our family back to Raleigh.  I was offered a great job opportunity that brought us back here and just completed my first week there.  While looking for a place for us to live my husband (also starting up his job search) is back in Florida with the kids.  Once things are final with a place to live, then they will join me up here and my husband will as well with work.  So, while I leave behind a place that has treated us well and truly allowed me to bring out my love of photography- we are now starting our new adventure here in Raleigh!  I hope you will continue to follow as we start over.

Thank you to all my clients in Florida- I love and appreciate you all and I look forward to new meeting new ones in Raleigh!

The K Family is Growing!

Back in September I had the privilege of doing a family shoot with Lily and Malia.  I was beyond excited when their mom, Elaine, contacted me again as they were expecting the arrival of baby #3. Such an exciting time for the family and I was so happy to be able to do their growing family pictures (Elaine looks amazing doesn't she?). It was a great shoot that was another fun filled day.  Both girls have such a personality and I can't help but take a lot of pictures of them.  They just make me smile!

Thanks again Elaine and family for letting me a part of another important part of your lives.  I can't wait to meet the new addition to the family!  Congrats to the K Family!

Photo Parties and Mommy and Me Shoots!

I have been deciding on when I wanted to post about this and with my excitement bursting I am just going to do it.

I am so pleased and happy to announce that I am now offering Photo Parties and Mommy and Me Shoots!  These events are not only great ways to get friends together with the kids but also provide an opportunity to get some great pictures of your children or with the Mommy and Me parties get a picture with your kids!

So what is the deal? In a nutshell- Each Photo Party event has a host mom- the party can be held at the mom's house or on location.  A guest list of up to 15 moms is created and invitations are sent out.  If the host mom can get 5 moms to pay the deposit and secure attendance then the host mom will get the photo session free!  Each mom will then get a 30 minute photo session for their child(ren) and can order a variety of packages at special pricing.  Of course there are more details - so please contact me for more information and pricing.

This is a great event for mom groups, Father's Day, Mother's Day, or just because.  It is fun for all.  Call or email me now to book your Photo Party!

Happy Mother's Day

Just wanted to wish all of the mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day!  It is by far one of the most rewarding and amazing jobs out there and I have loved every day I have been a mom.  My kids make all the bad days better and I learn so much about life through them.  

I wish everyone out there a great day and hope that it gets to be spent with the family.  I have included a picture from the phone of what my kids did for me on Friday with the nanny. I love it and of course them!

Trip to San Fran

Busy- that is it.  It has just been absolutely busy here.  My normal "9-5" job has been ridiculously crazy and then there is just the normal busy of everything outside of working.  It's a bad excuse I know and I am making up for it starting tonight.  It has been way too long since I have updated the blog or added any new pictures.

Part of the work schedule that has kept me busy has been the traveling I have had to do for my "other" job. The last trip ended in San Francisco, which was very exciting as I had never had the opportunity to make it out there prior.  Additionally, my husband was able to make it out on that leg of the trip and we extended some time as part of an Anniversary present for ourselves. The San Francisco area has some amazing places around it. I was so glad to have my husband bring some of my camera equipment so I could capture some of the moments of us there.  We did a lot in a small amount of time- it is definitely a place we would like to try and visit again when we have a little more time in order to see a lot more there!  

I hope that this finds everyone well...and I can say that I am truly excited and happy to get back behind the camera again and there is nothing that will stop me!

Time flies...

Wow!  I have fallen rather behind on the blog.  I didn't realize it has been over a month since my last post.  I have been really busy trying to update the website, had some changes done to the logo, and am finalizing additional changes.  I think we are just about there- just need to make a few more tweaks to the site.  So please continue to hang in there, but in the meantime I am still working fully operational.  

I look forward to sharing these changes with you and look forward to capturing those moments in your life.

Under Construction

I am excited to announce that I am going to be making some changes to my sites including introducing a new logo.  I am very happy with it and ready to start sharing it and changing things up.  It may take me some time to get everything changed, so please hang in there with me as I slow roll this change among others in the making.

I couldn't do this without the support of my family, friends, and amazing clients!  So pardon my dust and I look forward to getting everything back up and running as normal.
