Family Time

We have most definitely been enjoying our family time and it's hard to believe that Reed's time is going by even faster than Camdyn's seemed to.  It just goes by so quickly- almost in the blink of an eye.  I wouldn't change anything though- every day and even every moment feels just like a gift and I love it.

While I am enjoying every day and moment that I get to spend with them and am still working on getting back to "normal" I am really starting to miss being behind the camera.  I will be looking forward to getting back to capturing the moments of others (which I am still running a special, feel free to email for the details :-) ).

I have a couple pictures from the past week or two of the kids from some of our time together.  I will be doing Reed's 1 month pictures soon and will post those as soon as I have them completed.  Enjoy!

At lunch, Camdyn was looking over the menu trying to decide what to order.  Oh the decisions of a 21 month old :)

How nice, paying the bill for us! HA!!

More Pictures of Reed

I find it ironic that neither of my children seemed to be the newborns that sleep allowing for great sleepy newborn pictures, yet I do what I do :)  While I can say that our son definitely sleeps a lot more than our daughter did, he still seems to be unappreciative of getting posed.  Even with that being said, I have enjoyed taking pictures of him and will continue to do so.  I love what I do and I enjoy capturing all of their moments.  I specifically love capturing the two kids together.  It is so touching to see them together and see how much they love each other already.

I am still on the road to recovery but am making really good progress and should be back behind the lens again very soon as promised (don't forget to email me for session specials).  In the meantime, here are a few more pictures that I have taken- enjoy!

He really is a peaceful sleeper!

This picture just makes me laugh.  It is very him when he gets put down and thinks he has a diaper change coming- it really captured him.

This is my absolute favorite picture of the two of them.  This is what it is all about!

Had to capture this after an early morning feeding

Another one I just love!  Spending a sweet nap with daddy.

We did our own prints to put up in his room.

Happy Reed!

Another great shot of Reed and his big sister!!  I can't get enough of the two of them together.

Introducing .....

Reed!  He has finally arrived.  I will spare you all with the journey we had getting him to join us (obviously he didn't come as talked about on my last post), but the point of the matter is that he is safe, we are now home, and we love our family of four.  Reed was born on the 4th of July (true firecracker) at 10:40 PM weighing in at 7 lbs, 11.8 oz (smaller than our daughter) and was 21 inches long.  Camdyn seems to be enjoying being a big sister and has really done a great job with it.  She is very gentle with him and always concerned about him.  I am hoping to work on more of a "photo shoot" with him in the next couple of days and will get those posted as soon as I can (editing and getting pictures uploaded has definitely taken me longer than normal).  In the meantime, I am including some pictures that we got at the hospital and just in the past day of being home in order to share.  More will be coming!

Hope that this finds everyone doing well.

Enjoy!

Last weekend as three

It's hard to believe that this was the last weekend for us to be only a family of 3.  Our son had a change in plans during the last week or two in which he has decided to change positions and has now been breech for a couple weeks.  We don't have a whole bunch of hope that he will change back but there is that small chance, however, I know he is running out of room.  In the event that he doesn't change- we are scheduled for a c-section this Thursday! So this weekend is realistically our last as just 3.  We wanted to make the best of this weekend as a family of 3 for our daughter and made sure that we spent good family time together.  While I have already missed being behind the camera for other families (I am looking forward to being back behind it in August) I have of course been doing what I can to continue taking pictures of my family and will continue to share.  Be ready to start seeing a lot of posts coming up :)

Just remember I will still be taking bookings while I am out on "leave." If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I have posted some pictures below from our weekend.  Enjoy!

Nothing like story time with daddy!

She just loves to be outside and when you throw in some coloring- bonus!

Very busy doing her art

Yay!  Almost done

Wait one minute...I think something is missing

We met up with some friends for dinner who have a son that is just about 3 months older, this was them saying goodbye.

August Shoot Dates and slight catch up

There has been a lot going on since my last posting of the sweet Josilyn.  We have been keeping quite busy here trying to fit in some photo shoots before our new addition to the family arrives.  Unfortunately, I have come to the point where I can no longer do a shoot and give it all that it deserves so I have put myself on leave but am looking at doing shoots again in mid-August and will be doing bookings while I am not shooting.  I will also be offering specials for my return to photo shoots- so if you are interested please send me an email!!

I have about 2 weeks left till our due date of July 3rd, but with babies you can never tell, they have their own schedule.  I am very excited and can't wait to share pictures of our newborn as well as the soon to be big sister.  I promise that the blog will not go abandoned.  We are almost done with his room and will work on posting new pictures of that as well when we are complete.

Since I am always behind the camera, one of my dear friends offered to come and take some pictures of me while pregnant and with my daughter.  I have tons of her as you have seen, but barely any of her and I.  So I was very happy to have her come over and take some for me  :)  I have posted some here to share.  Thanks Chris, you did a great job!!!

More posts to come soon.  Don't forget if you are interested in a shoot August on, send me an email and we can find time to get you on the books!

Enjoy!!

Josilyn

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to photograph Josilyn and her parents this weekend.  She is such an adorable little girl and she definitely made me work for pictures- she is a quick one!! She did such a great job and was such a good sport about the whole shoot.  I truly enjoyed working with her and her parents- they are really such a loving family yet a lot of fun!  Thank you for letting me have the opportunity to capture some moments for you, here are some samples from our session.  Enjoy!

Daddy and his little girl- such a sweet shot!

Loved this giraffe- such a great toy and when she was ready, she hauled him all over the park!
